BREAKING NEWS - UPDATE ON BATTLE FOR KATE

 As Loriastan forces encircling the city targeted SFF strongholds 2 battalions of SFF troops approached Kate from the West.

As they were making their way into the city they were spotted by MIG-27 aircraft doing low level reconaissance around the city.

Loriastan air forces began an intense bombing campaign against the incoming SFF forces stopping their advance.

As a result of the relayed intel Loriastan forces managed to turn around and set up a perimeter on the Western edge of the city.

SFF and Loriastan forces have since fought to a rough stalemate on that front as artillery on both sides has been keeping troop movements to a minimum. 

Some SFF forces were able to break out and pincer move to the south but have been unable to make significant gains or encircle the Loriastan troops.

At this point the fighting has calmed down as both sides are digging in
